Pitted against colossal, prehistoric sharks and relentless environmental plunderers, they must outrun, outsmart and out swim their merciless predators.

  • It’s a lot of fun

Ignore the sad humorless critics here, it’s a big fun silly movie with fantastic special effects, a good sense of humor and likable characters. Jason Statham is riding on a jet ski with explosive tipped spears hunting prehistoric sharks while a giant monstrous octopus attacks a resort nearby. If that doesn’t sound like fun then you really should ask yourself why. It was even better in 3D, but it’s still a good time at home if you appreciate tongue in cheek humor and ambitious action set pieces and rich people getting eaten by dinosaurs.
  • Even the trailer was preposterous

I equate this idiotic movie to the nonsensical Fast and Furious movies, with completely rediculous story lines and not even remotely plausible action sequences.
  • Not the best but not the worst

While the first one was better, it was still a great time. If you enjoy action with some stupidity to it, this won’t be that bad mostly a good entertainment film.
  • The worst!

What an absolute waste! I couldn’t even finish watching after 40 min in.
  • Just think…

If it had woven transvestitism into the plot, RT would have adjusted their rating to 91%.
  • Waste of money!

I would have walked out of the theater and asked for my money back if I had purchased tickets to see this. My daughter walked out of the living room! TERRIBLE! The first movie was so fun; this was horrendous. Sharknado is like fine art compared to this atrocity!
  • Dumb Fun (some spoilers below)

By Asst. (To the) Regional Mang.
While this may be an inferior sequel to a fun original, it’s not that this film ISN’T fun! It’s just a fun action film, if you don’t know how to enjoy a film by “turning your brain off,” (simply enjoying a dumb piece of entertainment because it’s fun) then this film isn’t for you. If you were a fan of the first Meg you might not like this one depending on what you enjoyed in the first. This film has some moments that are so ludicrous that it actually turns into a (SPOILER ALERT) sharktopus movie for a brief moment where a Meg fights a giant-squid/kraken thing that appears just to be fought and eaten by a Meg, along with Jason Stratham singled-handedly killing a Meg with a blow-up harpoon and a jet ski, as well as being able to (barely) lift and hold up a hunts helicopter blade half way off the ground and impale a shark with it, then this film is for you! The sad thing is is that some of the best members of the original cast do not reappear in this film, most notably Su-Yin, who’s actress neglected to be appear because of personal issues we should all pray for, (SPOILERS OVER) along with prayers of forgiveness, praise and blessings! Have fun at the movies! God bless. Jesus is Lord. Final Rating: 🦈🦈🦈✨ (3 and half Megs.)

  • LOVED IT 10/10

I loved the Meg2 I saw it in theaters and THE MOVIE IS EXPENSIVE NOW BECAUSE IT JUST CAME OUT LIKE 2-3 WEEKS AGO TAKE A CHILL but besides that it was so good I love that there was more than one plot twist about the movie they also they didn’t change like 50 characters(Exaggerating) they changed the ex wife probably because the actor who played the ex wife didn’t want to do the Meg 2 OR she was doing another movie/show. Either way I suggest watching the first movie then the second to get a better understanding but I loved both.
  • One of the worst movies I’ve ever sat through

    By James Matthew Collins
It felt like a straight to DVD B movie. It was that bad, trust me. I could produce and direct a better movie in 5th grade. Oh and half the production is from China where it was co produced. I hope Mystery Science Theatre 3000 does this movie right.
