I was a 90’s kid. This film was fun and reflective of the time it was made in. If you enjoyed the Miles Morales Spider-Man movies, you’ll enjoy this one! It’s not overly woke and it’s not a conservatively traditional. It was well balanced. The kids will enjoy it! (It’s better than anything Disney has put out in the last 5 yrs +. So let’s keep the biases and political nonsense at bay. Shoutout to Paramount. I hope we get more SUPER MARIOS, TMNT & MILES MORALES flicks that interpret these iconic characters and stories in new ways. Let’s also push for NEW original story telling.)

Sure, they made some creative choices in changing the back story that will probably make you wince a little if you’re an adult viewer like me. But this movie is too fun to sit through, it doesn’t matter that I had to let that digest. I like the way everything looks. Love the music. Love the vibe each actor brings to each character. & it’s paced so well that it’s not taking much to make me feel immersed in the universe

It’s not bad, it’s not good, it just is. The Turtles come off like children, not teenagers and in working to make them more distinct they end up making them much more generic and lacking personality. Splinter was absolutely ruined: instead of being the awesome sensei he’s an overprotective frightened father. The art style is hit or miss. Best thing it has going for it is the humor. It does make you laugh at times. I really wanted to love this but in the end I didn’t even like it.

Was a kid when original turtles arcade game and movies came out. Was excited to watch with my 8 year old daughter who cringed at the previews. I said “I bet it’s better that you think and you will rewatch numerous times.” Was I ever wrong. Complete garbage and waste of money. I think I will delete the movie even though I paid $24 for it. Never want to be reminded of it again as I scroll through my library. The fact that this has a high score and favorable reviews raises questions of paid and planted reviews.
